David E. Smolen, Age 66, passed away at home on January 29, 2024 after a lengthy illness.  Loving husband of Oksana; Dear dad of Nicholas and Alex.  Dearest brother-in-law of Anna ( Bill ) Schwartz, Margie Hupalo and Lesya ( George ) Kercheval.  Fond son-in-law of the late Jerry and Olga Hupalo.  Visitation Sunday, February 4'th from 2 - 7 P.M. with a Panachyda ( Ukrainian Wake Service ) 5 P.M. at chapel.  Funeral Monday, February 5'th starting with prayers at 10 A.M. and forming a procession to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral for a 10:30 A.M. funeral service.  Interment Maryhill Catholic Cemetery; Niles.     May David's Memory Be Eternal!
