Fr. John Paul Lucas, age 85, fell asleep in the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 .

A detailed Obituary will be published Thursday by 12-Noon.

Fr. John will Lie In State at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral on Friday, February 20, 2026 beginning at 3:00 P.M. with the Parastas service at 6:00 P.M.   On Saturday, February 21, 2026 following the 8:00 A.M. Divine Liturgy, a Panakhyda for a Priest will follow.

Fr. John will be interred, next to his parents, at  Holy Spirit Cemetery in Parma, Ohio in a private service at a later date.
