Cherished son of Nello and Violet (Weaver); adopted son of Ron and Sandra Marks.

Beloved partner of Sharon Oglesby.

Dearest brother of Anna (Andrew) Reinholz and Gina (William) Frederick; preceded in death by his brother Nello Jr.

Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Gary thrived on being the life of the party... any party. He certainly was never one to leave early, often overstaying his welcome. It was his infectious spirit and his roaring laughter that drew so many to him. He loved bringing people together, and would spare no expense to make sure that the people he loved could spend quality time with each other. And, he was so good at making even strangers feel like family. We saw that most recently at Patrick and Marina's wedding. He hadn't met half of the people there, but by the end of the night everyone knew and loved him.

Gary was a hard worker and a talented carpenter, making many beautiful pieces over the years.

Visitation to be held at the home of the departed on Saturday (November 14) 1pm - 5 pm at 2125 N. Stave St., Chicago, IL 60647.
