George Horbenko, age 71, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 .

Beloved husband of Helen ( nee Kornota ).

Loving father of  Peter ( Rachell ), David,  and  Joseph ( Krista ).

Devoted grandfather to  Jack, Violet, Lonnie, Collins  and  Piper.

Dear brother of   Nina ( Wasyl ) Dubina,   Kathy ( the late Alex ) Danylevsky,  Dmitri ( Mary ) Horbenko  and  Nadia (in Ukraine).

Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation, Funeral and Burial  dates are as follows:

Visitation Tuesday, September 7'th  from  3 - 8 P.M.    Panachyda ( wake service ) 6 P.M. at Chapel.

Funeral Wednesday, September 8'th with everyone gathering at  11:00 A.M.    AT  St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 2238 W. Cortez St. ( at Oakley Boulevard ) for a Funeral Service.

Interment  with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL

George was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Ukrainian American Veterans Post 32 Chicago
