Jaroslav W. Zaplitny, age 93, passed away October 23, 2022.   Beloved husband of 62 years to Olha "Donna".  Loving father of Christina Zaplitny-Kucharyszyn  and  Andrew (Laura) Zaplitny.  Devoted grandfather of Katherine and Juliana  Kucharyszyn. Dear friend to many.  Visitation Saturday, November 5'th from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.  Funeral Saturday, November 5'th starting with a Panachyda ( prayer service ) 11:30 A.M. at chapel with a procession to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral for a 12:00 Noon funeral service.  Interment St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery; Chicago.    In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Nicholas Cathedral Renovation  or  Ukrainian Warriors For Medical Supplies.    Jaroslav was a Korean Conflict Veteran serving with the U.S. Army; a retired Pharmacist; a longtime member of PLAST and involved with numerous medical organizations.
