Maria Kalenik passed away the morning of Friday, November 14, 2025 at the age of 88.  Beloved wife of the late Michael;  Devoted mother to Peter ( Karen ), George ( Tatiana )  and  Alex ( Mary );  Cherished grandmother of the late Michael Louis and to Peter, Jr. ( Veronica );  Proud great-grandmother of Peter, III .   Maria is also survived by family in Argentina.    Visitation will be held at Muzyka Funeral Home on Thursday, November 20 from 3 - 8 P.M. with a Panachyda ( Wake Service ) at 7 P.M.     Funeral Prayers will be said at Chapel on Friday, November 21 at 10 A.M.    A procession will follow to Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.   Maria was the former head of the Sisterhood at St. George Belarusian Orthodox Church ( on N. Maplewood Ave. in Chicago ).
