Oleh Karawan, 87, of Inverness, IL, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Ivanka (née Jaworsky) for over 61 years; adored father of Tania (Roman) Kuropas and Greg (Adriana) Karawan; cherished grandfather of Maxym, Katya, Zoryana, Isabella, Mykola, Oleksander, and Juliana; dear brother of Luba Kolomayets; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews; admired brother-in-law; and a respected friend to all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19th, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Panachyda (Ukrainian Wake Service) at 7:00 p.m. at Muzyka Funeral Home in Chicago.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20th, beginning with prayers at 10:30 A.M. at Muzyka Funeral Home, followed by a procession to Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church for 11:00 A.M. Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Chicago.
