Osyp Szewczyk, age 93 of Chicago, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2019.

Beloved husband of the late Kataryna.

Loving father of Basil (Marilyn) Szewczyk , Steve (Kathy) Szewczyk and Mary (Bill) Hillard.

Cherished grandfather of Stephen (Kelly) Szewczyk, Christine Szewczyk, Richard Szewczyk, Christopher (Kelsey) Hillard, Nick (Carrie Epstein) Hillard and great-grandfather of Declan Szewczyk and the late Decklan Hillard.

He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. He lived a full life. Arriving in the United States on Thanksgiving in 1950, he provided a good life for his family and great education for his children.

Visitation Monday (August 26th) 3-8 P.M. with a Panachyda (prayer service) 6:30 P.M. at Muzyka Funeral Home, 2157 W. Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL 60622.

Funeral Tuesday (August 27th) 10:00 A.M. from Muzyka Chapel to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral for a 10:30 A.M. Funeral Service.

Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery.
