It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Bondarew, on June 19, 2020, at 9:03 A.M.  Her passing at the age of 88 was peaceful.

Pauline was born in Vitzing, Austria and immigrated to the U.S. as a young woman with her husband and two small children.  She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and arts & crafts. Her garden and crafts were much admired by friends and family.  Pauline loved country western music and tunes from the Sound of Music.  She was also known for her hospitality to all, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Gregory; her sons Helmut Sr., his twin Gregor and her sister Gertrude.

She is survived by four daughters, Lydia, Anna Marie (Marian) Zajler, Sophia and Alexandra; her sisters Erika and Traudi; daughter-in-law Beverly; her six grandchildren Helmut Jr., Theodore, Victoria (Luis) Vazquez, Lisa (Joel) Akamine, Robyn and Mikhail; her two great-grandchildren Taylor and Spencer; many nieces and nephews in Austria and she leaves her cat Fritzi who was many years a friend and companion. She was loved and adored by all.

We wish to thank Norwood Crossing, Pastor Dale and all the staff and residents who loved and cared for her.

Private services will be held at Muzyka Funeral Home on June 23, 2020.
